My sister turned me onto this jewelery designer Erin Tracy. We both can't seem to visualize how the rings without rings actually work. I mean, what happens when you spread apart your fingers - I never got into physics, but I think I grasped the basics...

My childhood fantasies come to fruition...

Stumbled upon this blog that had some tree houses that just make you want to pack a little bag and up and leave wherever you are, hike into the Fijian jungle and climb a tree. I remember as soon as the "tent building" phase of my childhood came to a close, I moved onto bigger and better ideas - treehouses. My "eco-friendly" father refused to let me hammer any nails into the trees, ugh. If I only was an apprentice to a Japanese joinery master, but this was not the case. My end product = a single 3 foot long 2x4 wedged in between the fork of the tree. I tied a rope to the tightly-wedged-single-piece-of-wood & would scale up to my "tree house." All I could do was sit in one position or I would fall off. Dreams can still come true thought, ya know. I mean, shit, I am an architect...right? I think I would need to build this dream myself, though, for principle's sake.

Leaving....not on a jet plane...

I am heading on a road trip today, so until I am back at a puter - I will just leave you with the first song I will play in my car on the way to the mountains....

Dumb-Ass Lesson of the Day...

Seems that it took me only 20 failures to finally figure out that I CANNOT throw my silverware into the dishwasher utensil section. Each attempt has ended in the fork or knife going horizontal whilst airborne, bouncing off of the place it is supposed to go into and ending up at the bottom of the damn dishwasher. Fishing it out of there has never been fun by the way. I guess this subconscience fear of just placing the utensil into the bin has been too much for me to face until now. Maybe it is just me trying to bring back my basketball days. I need to face the facts - it is high time I stop being lazy.

So there is this ongoing contest or project on one of my favorite websites. The project is called Lip Dub & consists of anyone submitting a video of themselves lip synching to any song. Genius.
